Welcome to the 2018 In-House Baseball Registration!
New in 2018: Registration processing fees will be passed on to the registrants as a service charge. The Hudson Booster board and sports committees have agreed that a non-profit club should not be absorbing these fees.
Registrations completed after May 1 will be charged an additional $15 late fee. On-time registrations help our volunteer staff put together teams with as little upset as possible as practices begin.
This registration will allow you to provide contact information, sign consents, and submit payment. More than one child can be registered in each session, with a single check-out at the end. Once you have registered a child for their first season, that child's information is stored for faster registration in future sport seasons.
Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.
To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available. Upon completion of registration a charge from Hudson Boosters will appear on your account.
"Play with" requests will not be accepted for players in the Junior, Senior, and Major League programs.
Also, we will attempt to put all players who have registered on a team. However, there is no guarantee of participating in an In House program if the registration is received after April 15th.
No off-line payments in 2018
There will be no off-line option for payment of Booster league fees. We will offer a payment plan option to help spread the cost of your registration over two periods. An additional option this year is the ability to pay via on-line check (routing & account number needed)
If you choose the payment plan, 50% of your payment will be due at the time of registration with the remaining 50% due on May 15th.
Dibs/volunteer requirements in 2018 - 6 Hours per player, with a family maximum of 12 hours
In 2013 the Hudson Booster club added a volunteer requirement to our baseball & softball registrations. Running the Booster baseball and softball leagues takes a tremendous amount of behind the scenes work which is entirely done by volunteers. We feel by getting more volunteers involved, the work it takes to run the programs can be spread out amongst the families that benefit from the youth sports experience. Then more bandwidth can be applied to improving these programs even further – field maintenance & improvements, increasing the training for coaches & umpires, running more regional tournaments, etc. By getting involved, families will gain a greater appreciation of everything the Boosters do for the youth and community as a whole. Volunteer programs have become common among youth sports programs, as both Hudson Soccer and Hudson Hockey run similar programs.
Due to the success of the volunteer program last year, the Booster club has set the requirements for 2018 at 6 hours per player with a family maximum of 12 hours.
New in 2018:
All traveling programs, plus in-house programs 3rd grade and above will have this requirement. Tee-ball and machine pitch leagues do not have this requirement.
Coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers will still have their Dibs/volunteer hours WAIVED. This is a great chance for you to volunteer, teaching sportsmanship and game skills to the youth of Hudson.
Needs for Coaches & League Heads - eliminate your volunteer hour requirements
We are always in need for team coaches and assistant coaches for the in-house leagues. The richness of the kids experience each season is closely related to the quality of coaching they get.
Even if you don't consider yourself an expert in baseball or softball you can STILL be a coach. There are coaching clinics available, and many drill hand outs & resources on the web. Your enthusiasm & some organization skills are the main requirements for a successful season.
Any volunteer for the Boosters will need to have a separate on-line background check form filled out. Your information will be kept confidential. The link to the on-line volunteer registration will be sent out when available.
